• are going to want to build a lot of web sites so you need to host multiple domains
• probably interested in building mini-sites on sub-domains
• may need multiple shopping carts if you are selling your own products
• need automatic follow-up systems - autoresponders, bulk email,...
• decent storage space and band width.

 When you start looking for hosting services that provide that level of functionality your choices become more limited.  Add in value for money and good service and your options become even more limited.

ThirdSphere Hosting Services

I cannot give you a run down on every hosting service out there.  I can tell you a little about the one I use - Thirdsphere.  I use ThirdSphere becuase it was strongly recommended to me by some one I know and respect.

For $24.99/month I get 500Mb disk space (I currently host 10 sites with ThirdSphere and have not used more than 100Mb yet). 30Gb monthly bandwidth - again I have not got anywhere near this limit though at the rate it's possible to build XSitePro sites that might change :).  Unlimited domains, unlimited sub-domains, on-line management, comprehensive web stats...

About the only thing I don't like is that Thirdsphere charge $10 to set-up each new domain.

So far I have not been disappointed.  Uptime is good.  Service response times are good.

And all the tools function as advertised.

MidPhase - Award winning hosting services

Always on the look out for a good deal I came across MidPhase Hosting.  I haven't used them yet but they seem pretty good.  They offer similar services to ThirdSphere with more storage and bandwidth.  Prices start at $7.95 per month for a single domain - $11.95 for unlimited domains. The only drawback I can see is that they want you to pay for a full year up front
